What is Small World School?
Small World School is a Christian, part-time, theme based pre-k program located in the Minnetonka Mills neighborhood for 3-5+ year olds. Our units are designed to make learning fun as we discover God and His world together. In addition to beginning Spanish and Bible learning our units include seasons and weather, animals (ocean, farm and forest), insects, dinosaurs, community and world, transportation, the five senses, musical instruments and more! Yearly highlights include tapping the maple tree and hatching chicks.
Meet Our Teachers
Hello! My name is Jana Hoober, and I'm passionate about three to five-year-olds and teaching to the unique temperment of each child. I've been teaching for over twenty-five years, beginning with my own children who are now grown. I have taught in the Hopkins public schools and in various volunteer roles. I've also directed children's ministry at The Mills Church. Besides teaching, some of my favorite activites are hiking in the woods, camping on the North Shore, gardening, reading, and cooking.
Hi! My name is Sarah Landt and it is a joy to work with 3-5 year olds. They make me laugh and they amaze me every single day. I’ve been teaching professionally for the past 5 years both as a Spanish Immersion Teacher in the Minnetonka Public Schools, as well as at Small World School. Before that, I taught as a volunteer in the Minnetonka Public Schools and with the High School Students at The Mills Church. My husband and I have four teens/pre-teens at home and they are some of my favorite people to be with. I enjoy reading, watching my kids do the things they love, being with good friends and traveling.
